Job summary

Matthews Steer Accountants and Advisors in Melbourne's North West is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing team. You will prepare financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other compliance deliverables for a diverse client base and entity types.

You will support tax and business advisory services, including planning, Division 7A, FBT, CGT and GST matters, and build strong client relationships with Client Managers and Partners while contributing to workflow efficiency and

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience within public practice accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification completed or underway.
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Experience working with complex business structures and larger client groups.
• Exposure to Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax and multi-entity organisations.

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

About you

You’ll be a good fit for the Senior Accountant role if you have:

• 4+ years' experience within public practice accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification completed or underway.
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Experience working with complex business structures and larger client groups.
• Exposure to Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax and multi-entity organisations.
• A genuine desire to continue developing toward a client-facing leadership role.
