Oz Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a prestigious boutique practice in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services with direct client engagement and close collaboration with senior practitioners.

The role requires at least five years in Australian public practice, CA/CPA qualification (or nearing completion), and strong knowledge of taxation and accounting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for various entities (companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, SMSFs).
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax returns.
• Provide taxation, compliance and business advisory services.
• Assist clients with tax planning and business structuring.
• Manage client relationships and liaise with regulators and stakeholders.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with Partners on client matters and advisory engagements.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Partners, you will manage and service an established portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services. This is a varied role offering direct client engagement, technical exposure and the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners in a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs.
• Preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax returns.
• Providing taxation, compliance and business advisory services.
• Assisting clients with tax planning, business structuring and related advisory matters.
• Managing client relationships and liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other stakeholders.
• Managing workflow, deadlines and client deliverables.
• Working closely with the Partners on client matters and advisory engagements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• Minimum five years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Sound technical knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards.
• Demonstrated experience across a range of business structures and entity types.
• Well-developed communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB and XPM.
• The ability to manage multiple client engagements with a high degree of accountability.
