Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Project Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security, fire, and building automation systems on varied projects. You will interpret blueprints, troubleshoot, and ensure customer satisfaction as a trusted service provider.

The role requires travel to local job sites, strong communication, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years relevant field service experience.
• Solid customer service orientation and strong communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to travel locally to job sites.
• Certifications in Product-specific or building automation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service security, fire alarm, and building automation systems.
• Read blueprints and manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to manage timelines and budgets.
• Provide customer training and close-out documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and safety standards.
