Job summary

Convergint is hiring a Security Technician to install, program, test and service security, fire alarm and life safety systems. You will train customers and support project start-ups, with interaction across engineering and operations teams.

You should read blueprints and wiring diagrams, operate testing instruments and participate in startup and certification activities while upholding Convergint’s customer-first culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to learn fire alarm/electronic security systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repairs, and service security, fire alarm, life safety, and/or building automation systems.
• Provide customer training and act as the primary customer interface.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• Commission new systems and perform startup activities.
• Coordinate with Project/Operations managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
