Job summary

iDetect Group in Melbourne is seeking an organised Security Guarding Supervisor to oversee daily security operations and lead on-site teams. You’ll manage rosters, coordinate guarding and patrol services, and serve as a primary client liaison to ensure reliable, high-quality service.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in security or operations, strong rostering knowledge and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in security, facilities or operations
• Strong understanding of security operations, rostering and site management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Genuine focus on client service and building relationships
• Confidence leading, supporting and holding team members accountable
• Familiarity with rostering/scheduling systems and office tools (MS Office/GS)
• Current security licence and industry qualifications as required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of guarding, patrol and site security services across client sites
• Manage security rosters and shift scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage
• Coordinate the deployment of security officers and operational resources
• Lead, support and coach security officers and team members
• Keep workflows organised and ensure tasks and deadlines are being followed through
• Act as a key contact for clients, providing regular updates and responding to concerns
• Build strong, professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Monitor service delivery against client expectations and contractual requirements
• Identify process gaps and implement practical improvements
• Contribute to improving systems, procedures and standard operating processes
• Monitor team and operational performance and take action when required
