Job summary

Nova Security Group Pty Ltd is actively seeking experienced, professional Security Officers to join our team across pubs, clubs, hotels and other licensed venues in Sydney. Your duties include access control, routine patrols, incident response and delivering courteous customer service while maintaining a safe environment for patrons and staff.

Ideal candidates will hold a current NSW Security Licence and RSA where required, possess strong communication skills and the ability to work evenings,

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence with appropriate classes for work undertaken
• Current RSA competency where required for licensed venues
• Full Australian working rights
• Experience in security, crowd control or customer-facing environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong situational awareness and conflict-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Professional presentation and strong work ethic
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons, staff and visitors
• Access control and entry management
• Monitoring patron behaviour and identifying potential risks
• Regular patrols of designated areas
• Responding to incidents, disturbances and emergencies
• Crowd management and venue procedures
• Monitoring security alarms and incidents
• Completing incident reports and shift records
• Providing professional customer service
• Working with venue management and other officers
• Adhering to site procedures and company policies

About the Role

We currently have multiple opportunities available for experienced, professional and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team.

The majority of available positions are within pubs, clubs, hotels, bars and other licensed venues, with additional opportunities available across a variety of security environments.

Available work may include:

• Pubs, clubs, hotels, bars and licensed venues
• Crowd control and venue security
• Static security
• Concierge and corporate security
• Education and campus security
• Customer service-focused security roles
• Events and other general security assignments

Depending on the site and assignment, your duties may include:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons, staff and visitors
• Conducting access control and entry management
• Monitoring patron behaviour and identifying potential risks
• Conducting regular patrols of designated areas
• Responding appropriately to incidents, disturbances and emergencies
• Assisting with crowd management and venue procedures
• Monitoring and responding to security alarms and incidents
• Completing accurate incident reports, shift records and security documentation
• Providing professional and courteous customer service
• Working closely with venue management, staff and other Security Officers
• Adhering to site procedures, company policies and relevant legislative requirements

About You

We are looking for reliable and professional Security Officers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of providing both effective security and excellent customer service.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• A current and valid NSW Security Licence with the appropriate classes for the work being undertaken
• Current RSA competency where required for licensed venue work
• Full Australian working rights
• Previous experience in security, crowd control, hospitality venues or a similar customer-facing environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong situational awareness and conflict-management skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A professional presentation and strong work ethic
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays

Experience within pubs, clubs, bars, hotels or other licensed venues will be highly regarded.
