Millennium Services Group Limited is seeking an NV1 Security Officer in Hobart to safeguard people and assets while delivering outstanding customer service. This casual role covers access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response, and front-line security tasks across day and night shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

You must hold a current Security Licence, NV1 clearance, and First Aid/CPR. Prior security experience in corporate or critical infrastructure environments is preferred,

• First Aid/CPR certification must be current.

Responsabilités

• Manage arrival/departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain visitor/contractor registers.
• Issue and manage access credentials including passes.
• Monitor CCTV footage and retrieve historical footage as needed.
• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detectors.
• Maintain professional security presence and respond to alarms/incidents.
• Assess risks and follow site procedures.

About The Role

As an NV1 Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This position combines access control, monitoring and surveillance, incident response, and front-line security duties. You will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets while ensuring all site security procedures are followed to the highest standard.

Shifts: Day and Night Shifts | Weekdays and Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers.
• Issue and manage access control credentials, including visitor passes.
• Monitor and review CCTV footage, including retrieval of historical footage when required.
• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detection equipment.
• Maintain a professional, approachable, and visible security presence.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Identify and assess risks, taking appropriate action in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all client, site, and company security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.

About You

• A current and valid Security Licence.
• An active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous security experience in a corporate, government, critical infrastructure, or similar environment.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including day and night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to conduct patrols when required.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• The ability to work independently while adhering to established procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A professional presentation and customer-focused approach.
• A proven track record of reliability, accountability, and punctuality.
