Job summary

Millennium Services Group in Brisbane is seeking an NV1 Security Officer on a casual basis to ensure a safe, secure environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will manage access control, patrols, and incident reporting across day and night shifts.

Ideal candidates hold a current Security Licence and NV1 Clearance, with First Aid/CPR, and a proven security background. Australian working rights are required; veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers.
• Issue and monitor access control credentials, including visitor passes.
• Monitor and review CCTV systems, including retrieval of historical footage when required.
• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detection equipment.
• Maintain a professional, approachable, and visible security presence.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, taking appropriate action in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all client, site, and company security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.

About the Role

As an NV1 Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role combines access control, monitoring and surveillance, incident response, and customer-facing responsibilities. You will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while ensuring all security procedures and site requirements are consistently upheld.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• An active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).

• Availability to work a variety of day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to conduct patrols when required.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• The ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional presentation and customer-focused approach.
• A proven track record of reliability, accountability, and punctuality.
