Millennium Services Group is seeking a vigilant NV1 Security Officer to protect people, property and assets across our sites in Australia. The role combines access control, monitoring and incident response with strong customer service.

As a Casual Security Officer, you will perform site access management, CCTV review, alarm response and patrols, ensuring all security procedures and client requirements are met with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Security Licence.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Availability for day and night shifts, weekdays and weekends.
• Good physical fitness and ability to patrol.
• Attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to work independently while following procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional presentation and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage arrival and departure of employees, visitors and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers.
• Issue and monitor access control credentials, including visitor passes.
• Monitor CCTV systems and retrieve historical footage as required.
• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detectors.
• Maintain a professional security presence.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance.
• Identify, assess and report security risks per site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with client, site and company security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and maintain records.

About the Role

As an NV1 Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role combines access control, monitoring and surveillance, incident response, and customer-facing responsibilities. You will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while ensuring all security procedures and site requirements are consistently upheld.

Shifts: Day and Night Shifts | Weekdays and Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers.
• Issue and monitor access control credentials, including visitor passes.

• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.

• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A current and valid Security Licence.
• An active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Availability to work a variety of day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to conduct patrols when required.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• The ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
