Job summary

Millennium Services Group in Melbourne is seeking an NV1 Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment while delivering high-standard customer service. You will manage access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response, and client-facing duties across day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.

To succeed, you must hold a current Security Licence and NV1 clearance, along with First Aid/CPR certification, fitness for patrols, and the ability to work independently within

Qualifications

• Active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous security experience and ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers.
• Issue and monitor access control credentials, including visitor passes.
• Monitor and review CCTV systems, including retrieval of historical footage.
• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detection equipment.
• Maintain a professional, approachable security presence.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Identify, assess and report security risks and follow site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with client, site and company security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and maintain records.

About the Role

As an NV1 Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role combines access control, monitoring and surveillance, incident response, and customer-facing responsibilities. You will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while ensuring all security procedures and site requirements are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A current and valid Security Licence.


• An active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).


• Current First Aid and CPR certification.


• Previous experience in a security role.


• Availability to work a variety of day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.


• Good physical fitness and the ability to conduct patrols when required.


• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.


• The ability to work independently while following established procedures.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A professional presentation and customer-focused approach.


• A proven track record of reliability, accountability, and punctuality.
