Job summary

Sectrol Security is a Ballarat-based family business seeking experienced Security Installation Technicians for full-time work across regional Victoria. You will handle installations and servicing, including CCTV and access control, from cabling to commissioning.

You must have at least two years of hands-on security installations experience and a current Security Cabling License, plus Driver’s License, Working with Children’s Check, White Card and Police Check.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum practical experience in security installations.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, and alarm/tamper systems.
• Ability to cabling, wiring, commissioning, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Installation of new security systems and conversion of existing systems.
• Installation and setup of CCTV systems including remote access.
• Fault finding, maintenance, repair and testing of security systems.
• Router configuration for remote access of CCTV systems.
• Complete documentation on relevant software used for project delivery.

Security Installations Technician – Full Time Position

$35 – $45 per hour

For almost 50-years, Sectrol has been the most trusted name in Regional Victorian security, offering design and installation of state-of-the-art security systems and CCTV together with servicing and repairs support across Ballarat, Geelong, Bendigo, and the broader Central and Western region of the State.

Security systems and CCTV have become essential tools in safeguarding people and property, and our business is growing fast across Regional Victoria.

Our installations team needs to expand to meet increased customer demand.

We are seeking experienced Security Installation Technicians to help Sectrol provide its customers with high-quality security solutions and the latest CCTV technology.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of these full-time positions includes undertaking new installations (cabling to commissioning) as well as servicing, repairs and maintenance work.

As a Sectrol Security Installations Technician, your role will include:

• Installation of new security systems and conversion of existing security systems
• Installation and setup of CCTV Systems (including remote access).
• Finding faults, maintaining, repairing, and testing Security Systems including CCTV and Access Control.
• Router configuration for remote access of CCTV systems (Remote via EXTMONs)
• Completion of documentation on relevant software applications used by the Company to support project delivery.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and problem-solving technical issues with ease.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• You must be an Australian citizen or have valid Visa Sub-Class status that enables you to work freely in Regional Victoria
• Have at least two years practical security installations experience
• Have and maintain a current Security Cabling License
• Hold and maintain a current Driver’s License, Working with Children’s Check, White Card, and Police Check
• Strong Knowledge of a range of security systems including Tecom, Concept, DAS/NX Series Panels, Bosch Solution panels, Integriti, CCTV, Access & Prox readers
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in customer interactions
• A highly organized and detail-oriented approach, able to meet strict deadlines while working under pressure.
