Job summary

Accenture Australia is seeking a hands-on System / SME / COTS Product technical lead to design, deploy, and operate secure information exchange solutions within a Federated Mission Networking environment. You will focus on Palo Alto NGFWs, Isode M-Guard data diodes, and compliance with defence standards within an Agile team.

Reporting to the Solution Architect, you will translate architectural designs into engineering specs, participate in sprint planning, and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in network security engineering or systems engineering in highly secure environments (Defence/Government preferred).
• Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience with stringent security/compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise for FMN security components.
• Design, configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto NGFWs and VPNs.
• Install and maintain Isode M-Guard data diodes with LDAP/X.500 integration.
• Translate designs into detailed engineering specs and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with Defence standards and accreditation.
• Collaborate with Business Analyst and Solution Architect in requirements and design.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, refine user stories, and contribute estimates.
• Conduct testing, performance tuning, and security audits.
• Troubleshoot complex security solutions across multi-vendor environments.
• Maintain documentation and mentor junior engineers.
