Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Managed Security Engineering team in Sydney, Australia. You will work hands-on across Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto environments, handling BAU operations, incidents, changes and health checks to keep customer networks secure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto firewall technologies.
• Strong networking fundamentals across TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, NAT and firewall policy.
• Experience troubleshooting connectivity and access issues across live production environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain customer network security environments across Fortinet and Palo Alto platforms.
• Investigate and resolve network connectivity, firewall, VPN and access-related issues.
• Troubleshoot problems across routing, switching, NAT, firewall policies and related network services.
• Respond to operational incidents, including higher-priority P1/P2 issues where required.
• Perform scheduled configuration changes and support customer change requests.
• Complete regular environment health checks and identify potential issues before they impact customers.
• Analyse alerts and service requests and work through issues to root cause
• Support firewall policy changes, VPN configuration and broader network security administration
• Work with customers and internal technical teams to resolve complex incidents and service issues
• Contribute to service improvement activities and help identify opportunities to make customer environments more stable, secure and efficient
• Maintain clear technical documentation and work within established change and operational processes
• Participate in an after-hours support roster as part of the wider managed services team
