Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead the Detection & Response team and scale security monitoring across the organization. You will own multi‑year initiatives, drive automation, and coordinate with engineering, IT, and security colleagues to triage incidents and improve detection capabilities.

You will prioritize both immediate security needs and long‑term strategic outcomes, mentoring engineers and building a high‑performing security culture in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in a technical field with security focus.
• 8+ years of post‑bachelor security experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Engineering leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and own multi‑year, high‑impact security initiatives.
• Ensure monitoring infrastructure, investigation tooling, and automation meet quality standards.
• Prioritize short‑term goals against long‑term security outcomes and system health.
• Directly participate in D&R operations and triage incidents.
• Collaborate with multiple Snap teams during security incidents.
• Align team direction with organizational goals and plan quarterly/annual roadmaps.
• Foster collaboration across stakeholders and drive cross‑organizational partnerships.
• Invest in team growth, manage performance, and delegate execution effectively.
• Recruit top engineers and build a productive, collaborative team culture.
