AXS Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Security Engineer in Melbourne to protect our cloud and on‑prem infrastructure across Australia, Singapore and Japan. The role focuses on cloud and infrastructure security, vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response and automation of security controls.

You will work with AWS and on‑prem environments, partnering with technology, infrastructure and development teams to identify risk, strengthen controls and embed security into design,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional cybersecurity experience.

Responsabilités

• Architect, design, implement, support security tools and controls.
• Develop and maintain security policies and guidelines across systems (AWS focus).
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines for continuous compliance.
• Use infrastructure-as-code to build and enforce secure cloud infrastructure.
• Build Python and Bash scripts, serverless functions to detect anomalies and automate responses.
• Support security incident investigations, vulnerability remediation and PCI/SOC activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external assessors on compliance initiatives.
• Review audit trails, logs and monitoring data to support policy and compliance.
