Salt in Melbourne is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, develop and automate security capabilities across AWS and the development ecosystem. You will embed security into the software development lifecycle and help build secure, reliable applications.

Contribute to vulnerability management, incident response, IAM and network security while collaborating with cloud, cyber security and software engineering teams.

Formación

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years AWS experience.
• Tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent.
• AWS Security certification is desirable.
• AWS Architecture Associate certification is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain automated security solutions across AWS and the development ecosystem.
• Write and test code to automate cloud security processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement security guardrails that enable secure application design, development and deployment.
• Partner with cyber security teams to understand emerging threats, identify vulnerabilities and implement effective remediation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams on cloud security principles, secure development practices and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to security capabilities across vulnerability management, detection engineering, incident response, IAM and network security.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance cloud security services and capabilities.
• Promote engineering best practices across automation, DevOps, documentation and operational processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and engineering to deliver scalable, self-service security solutions.
