Job summary

Salt Melbourne is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join a specialist team focused on strengthening cloud security through engineering, automation and scalable security capabilities. This is a hands-on role blending AWS, Python development and security thinking to help development teams ship secure applications from design through deployment.

You will partner with cloud, security and software engineering groups to embed guardrails, automate security workflows and drive proactive risk

Qualifications

Experience writing tests for Python code.
Strong AWS design and deployment experience for scalable, secure apps.
Solid understanding of cloud networking and internet protocols.

Responsibilities

Build and automate security solutions across AWS and the wider developer ecosystem.
Develop Python code to automate cloud and security capabilities.
Implement security guardrails to help development teams ship secure applications.
Contribute to vulnerability management, detection engineering, incident response, IAM and network security capabilities.
Collaborate with cyber security teams to identify weaknesses and deliver effective remediation.
Provide technical guidance to development teams on cloud security principles and best practices.
Influence technical decisions and drive security at scale.
