Job summary

Karlka Recruiting Group is engaged with a Federal Government Agency to provide Project Officer contractors for a 12-month contract in Sydney, Canberra or Brisbane. The role supports planning, coordination and delivery of projects and programs under governance and risk management.

Baseline Security Clearance is required; inactive clearance accepted if lapse is under 3 months. WFH arrangement negotiable and extension options available for successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting project, program or policy delivery in complex environments.
• Strong coordination and organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
• Sound written and verbal communication, incl. briefs and meeting papers.
• Experience supporting governance, secretariat functions, action tracking and records management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative work style.
• Sound analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Baseline Security Clearance.
• Qualifications or certifications in project, program, Agile or change management are desirable.
• Experience supporting project financial management and PM tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities, track milestones and manage priorities.
• Lead discrete pieces of work and report progress, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, registers and reporting documentation.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and expenditure information for decision making.
• Support governance activities including meetings, papers, action tracking and record keeping.
• Build productive stakeholder relationships and support communication across groups.
• Contribute to problem solving and achievement of project outcomes.
