Job summary

Talent International is seeking a Security Architect with deep expertise in network security, network segmentation, zero trust and secure access to join its Security Architecture practice.

You will lead architecture across a major uplift of the organisation's network security services, including firewall modernization, secure access, hybrid-cloud connectivity and transitions away from perimeter-based models.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated network or cyber security architecture experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise across network security, zero trust, and identity-integrated secure-access models.
• Experience with network segmentation and isolation technologies, ideally Illumio.
• Experience designing or modernising enterprise firewall services.
• Knowledge of Netskope Secure Web Gateway and Netskope Private Access, or comparable technologies.

A leading Australian insurer is seeking an experienced Security Architect with a strong background in network security, network segmentation, zero trust and secure access to join its Security Architecture team.

Embedded within the network and security delivery teams, you will provide architecture leadership across a major uplift of the organisation’s network security services. This will include firewall modernisation, Zero Trust and secure-access capabilities, enterprise segmentation, hybrid-cloud connectivity and the transition away from traditional perimeter-based access models.

You will partner closely with engineering, operations, cyber security and product teams to develop practical architecture patterns, guardrails and roadmaps that strengthen security while supporting efficient delivery. The role will also drive greater automation, accountability and observability across network security services.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Demonstrated network or cyber security architecture experience within large, complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise across network security, zero trust architecture and identity-integrated secure-access models
• Proven experience with network segmentation and isolation technologies, ideally including Illumio
• Experience designing or modernising enterprise firewall services
• Strong knowledge of Netskope Secure Web Gateway and Netskope Private Access, or comparable technologies
• Knowledge of DNS security, SD-WAN and hybrid connectivity across cloud, data-centre and end-user environments
• Experience creating security roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, architecture decisions and reusable guardrails
• Understanding of security automation, Terraform, infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and a pragmatic approach to balancing delivery, security and operational risk
• Knowledge of APRA CPS 230 and CPS 234 would be advantageous
