Job summary

Compas is seeking a Security Architect to lead security architecture across a complex government technology program, designing secure Microsoft Azure solutions and supporting accreditation. The role is hybrid and primarily onsite in Canberra, with potential for up to two remote days per week after six months, subject to approval.

The ideal candidate will have extensive enterprise security experience, strong cloud security knowledge (Azure), and a track record of coordinating accreditation

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' enterprise security architecture experience in complex government or regulated environments.
• Minimum 5 years' cloud security architecture experience, including 3 years with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, PSPF, IRAP, Zero Trust and security accreditation requirements.
• Experience integrating SOC, SIEM, DevSecOps, CI/CD and automated security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise security architecture for secure Azure cloud environments.
• Develop security designs, architecture documentation and accreditation artefacts.
• Design security capabilities including identity, firewalls, SIEM, encryption and threat protection.

Lead security architecture across a complex government technology program, designing secure Microsoft Azure solutions, supporting accreditation and integrating enterprise security capabilities. This hybrid role is primarily onsite in Canberra, with up to two remote days per week potentially negotiable after six months, subject to approval.

Essential Tasks
