Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Project Manager for a government cyber security resilience uplift program. You will lead governance, assurance activities and stakeholder delivery, with full-time onsite attendance required.

The role involves coordinating IRAP assessments, penetration testing, risk, budget and change control, and working with business and technical stakeholders to drive outcomes. NV1 clearance and a 12-month contract apply.

Project Manager | Cyber Security

Lead delivery of a government cyber security resilience uplift program, coordinating project governance, assurance activities and stakeholder delivery. This role requires full-time onsite attendance in the ACT, with extended hours and weekend work during key event periods.

Location: ACT
Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite; temporary work from home may be considered case-by-case.
Contract Duration: 12 months, possible 12-month extension
Security Clearance Requirement: NV1
Closing Date: 10.00am, Friday 28 August 2026

Essential Tasks

• Manage project governance and reporting under the PRINCE2 framework.
• Coordinate assurance and readiness activities, including IRAP assessments and penetration testing.
• Manage project risks, issues, budget, schedule and change control.
• Coordinate resources and engage business, technical and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.

Key Criteria

• Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time.
• Experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects in a cyber security domain.
