Description du poste

Use your product ownership experience to help protect members, strengthen mortgage lending controls and deliver meaningful regulatory change.

This is an opportunity to lead a portfolio of initiatives focused on preventing mortgage application fraud across third-party sales, credit and fraud. You’ll turn complex risk, regulatory and operational needs into practical solutions, bringing together business, technology, data, risk and compliance teams to deliver improvements that work in practice.

Why the role matters

The quality of lending controls affects members, brokers and the Bank. In this role, you’ll help strengthen the processes, systems, reporting, training and accreditation frameworks that support responsible third-party lending.

You’ll be the key business owner for initiatives that address operational, regulatory, fraud and conduct risk. Your focus will extend beyond delivery to ensuring that new controls and processes are understood, adopted and embedded into business‑as‑usual operations.

What you’ll gain
  • Purposeful work with a direct connection to member protection and trust.
  • Ownership of complex regulatory and risk initiatives from requirements through to implementation.
  • Broad exposure across third-party sales, credit, fraud, technology, data, operations, legal, risk and compliance.
  • The opportunity to influence dashboards, controls, systems, processes and accreditation frameworks.
  • A role where sound judgement, collaboration and practical delivery all matter.
What you’ll do
  • Translate regulatory obligations, program objectives and business needs into clear features, user stories, acceptance criteria and priorities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of risk and control improvements across third-party sales, credit and fraud.
  • Shape dashboards and reporting that provide visibility of fraud trends, risk indicators, control effectiveness, accreditation and compliance outcomes.
  • Improve end‑to‑end processes and system workflows, ensuring changes are documented, controlled and ready for implementation.
  • Bring stakeholders together through workshops, prioritisation discussions and clear decisions on risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Support training, accreditation, communications and adoption, then assess whether delivered changes achieve their intended outcomes.
What you’ll bring
Essential
  • Experience owning a product, regulated process, business capability or complex change portfolio within financial services.
  • Experience across banking, mortgages, lending or responsible lending, together with exposure to third-party, broker, intermediary, sales, credit or fraud environments.
  • The ability to translate regulatory obligations, risk requirements, customer needs and operational problems into prioritised delivery outcomes.
  • Experience developing structured requirements, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience improving controls, processes, reporting, dashboards or system workflows.
  • Confidence working across technology, risk, compliance, data, operations and change teams, including implementation readiness and post‑implementation review.
  • Knowledge of Australian banking regulatory expectations and risk management frameworks.
  • Clear facilitation, influencing, analytical and written communication skills.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent professional experience in financial services, product ownership, regulatory change or complex delivery.
Nice to have
  • Mortgage application fraud, financial crime or conduct‑risk change experience.
  • Product backlog or roadmap ownership.
  • Dashboard, management‑information or risk‑indicator design experience.
  • Exposure to workflow automation or control technology.
  • Experience with broker training, accreditation or competency frameworks.
  • External vendor or strategic partner management experience.
  • A postgraduate qualification or recognised product, business analysis, project, change, risk or governance accreditation.

If you bring strong regulated delivery experience but not every desirable item, we still encourage you to consider applying.
