Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Level 3 Technical Service Engineer to sustain and improve on‑premises virtualisation platforms in Canberra. You will support VMware, Nutanix AHV and Hyper‑V environments, manage backups with HYCU and DPM, and work across secure government ICT environments.

This permanent full‑time role requires NV1 security clearance and hands‑on infrastructure experience in a government or Defence context. On‑site work in Canberra with a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in virtualization, infrastructure or systems administration.
• Experience with at least two of VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV or Hyper-V.
• Active NV1 security clearance (or higher).
• ITIL V3/4 Foundation certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and sustainment of compute platforms (Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V).
• Monitor and maintain performance, health and availability of compute clusters.
• Administer backup platforms (HYCU, DPM) and test recoveries.
• Support operations across secure government environments.
• Participate in on-call duties for Defence exercises and operations.
