BT Group is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join a fast-paced security-focused engineering team in the UK. You will help design, build and support secure cloud environments, automate deployment, and collaborate with architects and security specialists to deliver resilient cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes cloud-native technologies, platform engineering, and DevSecOps practices, with eligibility for UK DV clearance and travel across listed UK sites as part of the delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Designing, deploying, supporting or improving cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security and operational best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues in modern infra.
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Effective communication to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support secure cloud platforms and services using modern engineering and automation practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation for consistency and speed.
• Collaborate with customers, architects, security specialists and engineering teams to deliver secure cloud solutions.
• Support operation, monitoring and continuous improvement of cloud platforms for high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to cloud security, risk management and compliance activities.
