Job summary

EVT Group is seeking a Section Waiter for Gowings Bar & Grill at QT Sydney. You will own your section, delivering polished, personable service in a premium dining setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Section Waiter, ideally within a premium dining restaurant or high-end hotels.
• Ability to run a section independently in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including wine service fundamentals.
• A polished, confident manner with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

• Manage a designated section, ensuring attentive and efficient service from arrival to departure
• Present menus, offer knowledgeable recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, seamless service
• Maintain section presentation to QT and Gowings standards
• Handle guest requests, special occasions, and feedback with confidence and care
• Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system

About the Role

Join the team at Gowings Bar & Grill, QT Sydney's iconic dining destination, as a Section Waiter. You'll take ownership of your section, delivering polished, personable service that reflects Gowings' relaxed yet refined dining atmosphere. This role suits someone with a background in premium dining, who takes pride in the details and genuinely enjoys connecting with guests.
