Job summary

Felons Seafood at Manly Wharf is seeking a Section Waiter to deliver exceptional table service in a fast-paced environment, building rapport with guests and answering questions about our menu.

You will work with runners, bartenders, hosts and kitchen teams, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and assist with opening/closing duties. Must have RSA and a passion for hospitality. Flexible availability.

• Experience as a section waiter or similar restaurant role.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-first mentality and willingness to support colleagues.
• Current RSA certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional table service within your designated section and guest focus.
• Develop knowledge of our food & beverage offerings and provide recommendations.
• Take accurate orders and ensure timely service delivery.
• Build rapport with guests and create a welcoming dining atmosphere.
• Collaborate with runners, bartenders, hosts and kitchen teams for seamless service.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve service issues promptly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and table maintenance.
• Assist with venue opening and closing duties as required.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with venue policies.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and support peers during busy periods.
• Help establish service standards and contribute to the opening team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional table service within your designated section, ensuring every guest receives a memorable experience.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our food and beverage offerings, providing recommendations and confidently answering guest questions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service delivery.
• Build rapport with guests and create a welcoming and engaging dining atmosphere.
• Work closely with runners, bartenders, hosts and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively resolve any service issues.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and table maintenance throughout service.
• Assist with venue opening and closing duties as required.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with all venue policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and support fellow team members during busy service periods.
• Help establish service standards and contribute to the success of the opening team.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Section Waiter or in a similar restaurant service role.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, with wine knowledge highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, friendly and confident approach to guest interactions.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• A team-first mentality and willingness to support those around you.
