Townsville Catholic Education seeks a Secondary Teacher for Mathematics and Science at St Catherine's Catholic College – The Whitsundays, QLD. Commencing 18 January 2027, fixed-term to 5 December 2028, with salary range $86,600–$124,725 plus super and allowances.

The successful candidate will design engaging lessons, assess progress with diverse learners in mind, and align practice with Catholic values and the school mission.

Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 pending experience + Super + Allowances

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers.The following subjects are required:

• Mathematics
• Science

This is a full time, fixed term position commenincing on 18 January 2027 and concludes on 5 December 2028.

You’ll join a supportive team of committed teachers who work together in partnership with the parent community to create the best possible learning experience for every student. Your understanding of contemporary teaching practices, and your ability to adapt and support a diverse range of learners, will help every child feel included, valued, and confident.

In your classroom, you’ll spark curiosity and a love of learning by designing engaging lessons, setting clear expectations, and continually reflecting on your practice to keep improving. You’ll use a range of assessment tools to understand each student’s progress, celebrate their growth, and give meaningful feedback that helps them thrive.
