Job summary

KMG Special Assistance School is seeking passionate Secondary School Teachers to join for 2027. We offer an alternative learning environment for Years 7–12 students who may face barriers in mainstream education.

As a Classroom Teacher, you will plan, deliver, assess and report on high-quality programs aligned with CARF, embedding literacy and numeracy and supporting students to build confidence and academic capability.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration or eligibility for registration.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and a commitment to quality teaching.
• Understanding of Explicit Instruction and differentiated learning.
• Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed educational practices.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Develop engaging, differentiated and meaningful learning experiences.
• Embed literacy and numeracy development.
• Implement adjustments to support diverse learning needs.
• Maintain alignment between planning, teaching, assessment and reporting.
• Collaborate with Student Services and moderation processes.
