Job summary

Wycliffe Christian School in the lower Blue Mountains is seeking a dedicated Secondary HSIE teacher for a full-time position starting Term 1, 2027.

You will teach Legal Studies and Business Studies at Stage 6 and Geography to Years 7–10, contribute to an inclusive, faith-based learning community, and support co-curricular activities.

Applicants should be a committed Christian active in church and demonstrate strong ICT in the classroom, collaborative planning, and a passion for student growth.

Qualifications

• Be deeply committed to Christian Education.
• Ability to teach Stage 6 in Legal Studies.
• Ability to teach Stage 6 in Business Studies.
• Ability to teach Years 7-10 Geography.
• Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a deep knowledge of area of expertise.
• A commitment to service and to excellence in teaching and learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and within a team environment.
• Have specific skills in the application of ICT in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Assess student’s skills and learning requirements.
• Maintain effective methods of monitoring and tracking student progress.
• To be flexible and respond to current needs as they occur.
• Display strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Management and pastoral care of students.
• Work in partnership with families.
• Curriculum planning.
• Supervision duties.
• Willing to assist with co-curricular activities such as school camps, sporting and cultural activities, as part of a whole staff team.
• Participate in regular staff meetings.
