Job summary

Tassal Operations at the Proserpine processing facility in Queensland is seeking Forklift Operators for the harvest season. You will move, store and dispatch premium prawns, and support picking, packing, loading and order preparation with the logistics team.

The season runs from early November 2026 to mid-May 2027. A current Forklift Ticket with practical experience is essential; on-the-job training is available for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Ticket with practical experience required.
• Experience in cold food processing environment preferred, on-the-job training offered.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organise palletised goods in warehouse and cold storage.
• Support despatch with picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Assist with loading/unloading of trucks and containers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and safe stock storage.
• Collaborate with processing staff for smooth production-despatch workflow.
• Follow WHS protocols and cold-chain requirements.
