Job summary

Tassal Group is hiring Forklift Operators for the harvest season at our Mission Beach processing facility in Queensland. You will join the logistics and despatch team, moving, storing and dispatching premium prawns, with duties including picking, packing, loading and preparing orders for distribution.

This seasonal role runs from early November to Christmas 2026, with a possible transfer to our Proserpine facility after Christmas.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Ticket with practical experience.
• Full availability for the seasonal period (early November to Christmas 2026).
• Willingness to transfer to Proserpine after Christmas is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operating forklifts to move, stack, and organise palletised goods within the warehouse and cold storage areas.
• Supporting the despatch team with picking, packing, and preparing orders for timely dispatch.
• Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock is stored safely and efficiently.
• Collaborating with processing staff to ensure seamless workflow between production and despatch.
• Adhering to all workplace health and safety protocols, including cold-chain requirements.
