Job summary

ahm, a Medibank brand, is seeking a Search & AI Discovery Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will own a performance-led strategy spanning SEO, GEO and AI optimisation, collaborating across digital, marketing, content and platform teams to boost visibility and engagement.

Responsibilities include leading SEO, GEO and AIO initiatives, monitoring across search and AI platforms, and driving technical SEO improvements with a data-driven approach. Applications close soon.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and executing SEO programs that drive growth.
• Knowledge of GEO, AIO and emerging AI search ecosystems.
• Experience with SEMrush, BrightEdge, Ahrefs or Google Search Console.
• Strong analytics to translate performance data into insights.
• Minimum two years in a similar role with tertiary qualifications and content authoring.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative approach.

The Opportunity

Join ahm as our Search & AI Discovery Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract, in a hands‑on role focused on driving growth across organic search and AI‑powered discovery. Embedded within the Acquisition Squad, you’ll develop and execute a performance‑led strategy spanning SEO, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI Optimisation (AIO).

You’ll work across digital, marketing, content and platform teams to strengthen ahm’s visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI‑powered experiences, helping customers find us wherever they’re searching for answers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a performance-focused Search & AI Discovery strategy.
• Lead SEO, GEO and AIO initiatives to improve visibility, engagement and conversion.
• Monitor performance across Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and emerging platforms.
• Partner with content teams to create authoritative, conversational and search-optimised content.
• Drive technical SEO improvements across indexation, metadata, structured data, schema and content architecture.

Must haves:

• Experience developing and implementing SEO strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Understanding of GEO, AIO and emerging AI search ecosystems.
• Experience with tools such as SEMrush, BrightEdge, Ahrefs or Google Search Console.
• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, semantic search and content architecture.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn performance data into actionable insights.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar role, along with tertiary qualifications and content-authoring experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proactive, curious and collaborative approach
