Job summary

Medibank is seeking an AI Reliability, Observability & Lifecycle Lead to shape the enterprise AI observability and lifecycle governance. This leadership role focuses on defining standards, monitoring AI health and costs, and enabling scalable AI services with clear ownership and risk management.

The role collaborates with architects, data specialists and delivery partners to translate AI workflow designs into practical buildable requirements, balancing innovation with safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in observability, reliability engineering, or service management within complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience in AI, cloud, platform or data services roles.
Designing monitoring, telemetry, incident management and service assurance capabilities.
Knowledge of AI governance or responsible AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

Define and deliver Medibank's AI observability strategy and roadmap.
Establish standards for monitoring AI health, performance, quality, safety, adoption and cost.
Drive operational insight through metrics, dashboards and alerting.
Develop and maintain governance frameworks for AI services from onboarding to retirement.
Ensure AI services have defined ownership, risk classification, support models and review processes.
