Job summary

Healthscope Hospitals is seeking a Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout to join the Norwest Private Hospital Perioperative Services team. You will provide scrub and scout support, collaborate with surgeons and anaesthetists, and help ensure patient safety and excellent perioperative care.

Minimum 3 years in perioperative care and current AHPRA registration are required; postgraduate perioperative qualification (or progress) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a perioperative setting.
• Scrub/Scout experience (Neurosurgery or Orthopaedics highly regarded).
• Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality scrub and scout support across multiple specialties.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient and staff safety at all times.
• Proactively evaluate and improve perioperative care outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience from admission through recovery.
