St Vincent’s Health Australia is seeking a Cardiac/Vascular/Orthopaedic/Neurosurgical Scrub Scout Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time role at The Mater Hospital in North Sydney. You will provide patient-centred surgical care and operate within a multidisciplinary theatre team.

Ideal applicants hold an AHPRA registration and a Bachelor’s in nursing, with current scrub/scout experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Orthopaedic or Neurosurgical specialties.

Formación

• Valid AHPRA registration.
• Bachelor's in nursing.
• Current or recent Cardiac, Vascular, Orthopaedic and/or Neurosurgical scrub/scout experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient centred care.

Responsabilidades

• Provide exceptional patient-centred care to patients undergoing complex surgical procedures.
• Work effectively as a Scrub or Scout RN within a multidisciplinary operating theatre team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, VMOs, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, visitors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Ensure patient and staff confidentiality is always maintained.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, respect and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with Department of Health requirements, Work Health and Safety standards and infection prevention and control practices.
• Some on-call commitments may be required, including occasional nights and weekends.
