Job summary

St John of God Murdoch Hospital in Western Australia seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Scrub/Scout role with vascular, thoracic, ENT, and endoscopy expertise. You will supervise nursing practice, act as a clinical resource, and manage equipment and patient flow in a high‑tech theatre complex.

The position is permanent part-time, with salaries ranging from AUD 109,599 to AUD 115,681 pro rata, plus 12% superannuation and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Australian nursing registration.
• Postgraduate perioperative qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong leadership and clinical governance skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing practice and ensure standard of care in perioperative area.
• Act as clinical resource and develop skills relevant to scrub/scout role.
• Contribute to quality improvement and policy development.
• Deputise for Nurse Manager when required and participate in staff performance reviews.
• Lead education sessions and orientation for caregivers.
