The Department of Transport and Planning in Geelong is seeking a Scoping and Development Officer to coordinate design packages for upcoming construction projects across the road network. You will work with senior engineers to review designs against standards and guidelines, ensuring projects are well scoped and documented.

About the role The role is based in Geelong. The Scoping and Development Officer coordinates design packages for upcoming construction projects across the DTP road network. The role involves civil design, managing external consultants and working with senior engineers to review designs against engineering standards, technical guidelines and best practice. The role ensures projects are well scoped, feasible, costed and documented in line with DTP frameworks and requirements. It also considers stakeholder needs, contributes effectively to the design team and supports safe, inclusive and flexible ways of working, while developing engineering skills with guidance from senior team members.

Qualifications and experience

• Experience in transport or construction
• Driver’s License
• Degree qualified in Engineering (desirable)
