Job summary

Trinity Catholic College Goulburn is seeking a part-time Science Laboratory Assistant to join the dynamic science faculty. You will support classroom teachers, enable student access to the curriculum, and provide specialist technical advice and assistance.

Qualifications

• NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Certificate III in School-Based Education Support or Laboratory Techniques; current enrolment in an ITE university program; or experience as a Classroom and Learning Support Assistant
• Accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy

Responsibilities

• Support science classroom teachers to ensure students can access the curriculum and participate in activities
• Provide specialist technical advice, direction, and assistance in the science labs

Salary Range: $75,935 full-time equivalent plus superannuation

Employment Status: Part-time| 70 hours per fortnight

About the Role

The Science Laboratory Assistant is a member of the Science faculty team that plays a key role in supporting science classroom teachers to ensure that all students can access and participate in the curriculum and activities to achieve the academic goals required for independent learning and confident participation. They have the capacity to provide specialist technical advice, direction, and assistance.
