The College is committed to equity of access to and sustained delivery of quality education for all students, maintaining a diverse representation of the broader community. Teachers in the College are expert practitioners in the design and delivery of the Australian Curriculum and the New South Wales Education Authority (NSW) courses. Teachers continuously attend professional learning and effectively utilise technology in the classroom. The College carries an outstanding reputation for leading excellence and innovation in learning and teaching, attracting and teaching 770 students.
The Inclusive Education Coordinator reports directly to the Principal and has specific responsibility for the integration of a learning, wellbeing and academic care culture that is, in all aspects, consistent with who we say we are as a Catholic school, and which is directed towards continuous improvement and academic care of each student. The Inclusion Education Coordinator role is designed to embed high quality teaching and learning through targeted leadership in diversity and inclusion and take the lead in the development of individual personalised plans for students. The Inclusive Education Coordinator will work with the Principal, Assistant Principals and Subject Coordinators to support the implementation of the NSW Syllabus for the Australian Curriculum and contemporary pedagogies with a particular emphasis on explicit instruction and differentiation. This is to be achieved by developing a close working relationship with the Assistant Principals, and Subject and Year Coordinators, the regular articulation of a clear vision for learning, maintenance of respectful relationships, effective and timely communication and feedback to staff, collaborative leadership, highly competent organisational practice, loyalty to the College, and personal witness to the values and spiritual life of Trinity Catholic College. The Inclusive Education Coordinator plays a key role with Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) and is to be proactive in sourcing and disseminating information and resources from CACGEL Senior Officers for Disability, Wellbeing, NCCD and Inclusion. This networking will include face to face meeting times as well as online communication and meetings. It is expected that the Inclusive Coordinator will maintain their own personal scholarship of emerging research and trends in education and share this with colleagues.
