Qualifications

• Certificate III in Education Support or higher desirable.
• Experience in a laboratory or similar environment preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to engage positively with students in classroom and practical learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical assistance and guidance to students during practical lessons under teacher direction.
• Assist with evaluating and addressing learning needs under teacher direction.
• Assist in science program activities, including experiment design and demonstration.
• Prepare, set up, and dismantle laboratory equipment and ensure safe disposal of waste.
• Handle stock solutions, chemicals and hazardous materials following procedures.
• Contribute to stock take, ordering of science resources and equipment database maintenance.
• Collaborate with teachers to manage equipment return and storage.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain housekeeping for efficient lab operations.
