Job summary

Buckley Park College in Melbourne’s Essendon community seeks an innovative Library Manager to lead the school library, manage the collection, archives and digital resources, and support teaching staff with curriculum-aligned materials.

You will guide students in developing strong research skills, create engaging displays and programs, supervise staff and resources, and foster a vibrant reading culture across Years 7–12 in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Graduate or post graduate qualification in library and information studies is required.
• Experience with library management and information literacy is essential.
• Ability to support curriculum-aligned library services across secondary levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and wider reading services to students and staff.
• Manage acquisition and cataloguing of Library resources.
• Supervise audiovisual equipment and services.
• Plan and conduct Library and research skills tutorials for students at all levels.
• Advise teaching staff on relevant resources to support the teaching of the curriculum.
• Assist with the supervision of students in various situations as appropriate.
• Manage the school’s archives.
• Manage Destiny LMS including cataloguing and records maintenance.
• Assist with management of electronic and web-based resources, including ClickView.
• Support implementation of the library programs and projects.
• Maintain and create displays and signage.
