Job summary

St Francis Flexible School North West Campus in Wynyard seeks a Kitchen Coordinator to oversee daily kitchen operations, plan menus, manage stock and budgeting, and ensure high standards of safety and nutrition. The role supports flexible education aims and occasional event catering.

The successful candidate will hold relevant cookery qualifications, a Tasmanian Working with Children Check, a current driver’s licence, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary campus team.

Qualifications

• Tasmanian Working with Children Check required or ability to obtain.
• Current driver’s licence (essential) or Light Rigid licence (highly desirable).
• Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery, hospitality, food services or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Demonstrated experience in food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety compliance, stock control and purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and provide healthy meals; menu planning and budgeting.
• Purchasing, stock management and kitchen organisation.
• Assist with catering for events, outings and camps.
• Collaborate with Campus Manager and transport driver support as needed.
