Job summary

Edmund Rice Education Australia Flexible Schools Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Coordinator for the North West Campus in Wynyard. The role focuses on planning, preparing and providing healthy meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and budgeting.

You will work with the campus team to ensure nutritious meals and a welcoming dining environment for young people. The position requires relevant cookery qualifications or solid demonstrable experience, a current Driver’s licence, and

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery, hospitality, food services or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in preparing healthy meals and safe food handling practices.
• Basic campus utility tasks and willingness to assist with transport when required.
• Working with Children Clearance or ability to obtain; valid driver’s licence encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and provide healthy meals for students and staff.
• Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations including menu planning, stock control and budgeting.
• Coordinate with Campus Manager on food service delivery and safety standards.
• Assist with catering for events, outings and camps as needed.
