Job summary

Private Advertiser in Melbourne’s inner suburbs is seeking an established IT Administrator to join a respected religious Jewish school. On-site, full-time, with training and a supportive team, you’ll manage servers, AD, networking, and user accounts while supporting staff and students.

Joining a collaborative tech environment, you’ll work Monday–Friday 9:00–5:30 with perks like fuel expense coverage and holidays off for Jewish celebrations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on IT experience in a school or corporate environment.
• Proficient with Windows Server (2012+) and Active Directory/GPOs.
• Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switches, firewalls.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration.
• Strong documentation habits and asset management.
• Able to travel between campuses if required.

Responsibilities

• Administering and maintaining Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Managing staff and student accounts, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace and backups.
• Setting up, imaging and deploying desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Diagnosing and repairing hardware faults, and handling warranty claims.
• Configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Providing Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk support to staff and students.
• Supporting classroom tech, AV and school events.
• Keeping clear documentation and an up-to-date asset register.
