Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs in the West Regions (Truganina, Point Cook and Featherbrook). This casual role covers rosters between 6:30am–9:00am and 2:30pm–6:30pm on weekdays, with school holiday shifts from 6:30am–6:30pm.

Pay starts from $40.59 per hour, with retention payments and superannuation. Applicants should have ACECQA-approved qualifications, a current First Aid in ECEC certificate, and a valid Victorian

• ACEcQA-approved qualification to work in OSHC/early learning.
• First Aid in Education & Care Setting or equivalent.
• Victorian Working with Children Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision in Before/After School Care and school holiday programs.
• Collaborate with coordinators and other educators to ensure safe, engaging activities.

What’s the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within our West Regions - Truganina, Point Cook and Featherbrook. This is a casual position, with working hours varying from Monday to Friday, on a rostered basis between 6:30am - 9:00am and 2:30pm - 6:30pm (you’ll also be paid split shift loading if you work both)! School Holidays shifts vary across 6:30am - 6:30pm. The upcoming School Holiday programs will run between the 20th of December - 23rd of December & 4th of January - 27th of January. The hourly rate for the position is between $40.59 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + super.

What will I need?

• You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) – or willing to enrol in a course
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
