Job summary

The Y Victoria is seeking a Casual Educator for OSHC programs in Bendigo. You will support Before and After School Care and School Holiday sessions, working across shifts during December to January.

You will be part of a team that builds engaging, safe experiences for children and collaborates with families and schools to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification; willingness to enrol if not held.
• First Aid in Education and Care Setting certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Protecting Children and Mandatory Reporting requirements.
• National child safety training – Foundation training.
• Valid Victorian Working with Children Check – employee check.

Job description

What's the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within Bendigo. This is a casual position, with School Holiday shifts varying across 7am - 6pm.

School Holiday programs will run between the 20th of December - 23rd of December & 4th of January - 27th of January.

The hourly rate for the position is between $40 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + 12% super.

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You'll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) - or willing to enrol in a course
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check - employee check
