Job summary

Y Victoria is seeking casual Educators for Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs in Bendigo. The role covers shifts across 7am–6pm during School Holidays.

The hourly rate is $40 p/hour onwards (depending on qualifications & experience) + ECEC retention payment + 12% super.

Qualifications

• ACEQA-approved qualification relevant to OSHC/early childhood.
• First Aid in Education & Care Setting or equivalent.
• WWCC - Victorian employee check must be current.
• Mandatory reporting and child safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver Before and After School Care sessions.

Job description

Y Victoria is currently seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within Bendigo. This is a casual position, with School Holiday shifts varying across 7am - 6pm.

School Holiday programs will run between the 20th of December - 23rd of December & 4th of January - 27th of January.

The hourly rate for the position is between $40 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + 12% super.

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) – or willing to enrol in a course
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
