Job summary

Our Lady of the Angels Primary Rouse Hill, Kellyville NSW, is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Officer to support the school's operations by delivering cleaning, grounds and building maintenance, and related duties. The role covers plant care, turf management, and safe handling of fertilisers and pesticides, with supervision by tradespeople as required.

You'll work 7am–3pm, four days a week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri or negotiable) with pay starting at $28.13/hr for Level 2 (Unqualified) or $33.06/hr for

Qualifications

• Trade qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Pre-employment medical assessment is required.
• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repair and maintenance tasks.
• Support gardening and horticultural work, including planting and ongoing care.
• Operate and maintain turf and grounds machinery under supervision.
• Assist with safe application of fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides.
• Respond to alarms and assist with security of school buildings, follow emergency procedures.
• Work with qualified tradespersons for building and furniture maintenance.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Principal or Delegate.
