Job summary

All Souls St Gabriels School in Charters Towers is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our Grounds and Maintenance team. You will perform a range of building and facility tasks across the campus, with a focus on safety, reliability and a welcoming environment for our school community.

You will work closely with the Head of Grounds and Maintenance to deliver repairs, preventative maintenance and general operational duties, and you will assist with grounds duties to keep outdoor spaces well

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain one
• First Aid and CPR qualification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to undertake physical work
• Legal right to work in Australia
• Working at Heights certification
• LR Driver Licence
• Relevant machinery, plant or trade licences

Join our Grounds and Maintenance team and help maintain a safe, functional and welcoming environment for our school community.

As our Maintenance Officer, you will undertake a variety of building and facility maintenance tasks across the campus, including repairs, preventative maintenance, project support and general operational duties. You will work closely with the Head of Grounds and Maintenance to ensure school facilities are maintained to a high standard.

In addition to maintenance responsibilities, you will assist with grounds duties as required, supporting the presentation and operation of the School's outdoor spaces and facilities.

About You

You are practical, reliable and proactive, with experience in maintenance, construction, property maintenance or a related field. You enjoy solving problems, take pride in your work and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Requirements
