Job summary

Kolbe Catholic College is seeking a dedicated Grounds & Maintenance Officer to maintain safe, functional and attractive school grounds across our Greenvale and Mickleham campuses in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

You will manage daily operations, assist with moving furniture, coordinate with external contractors, ensure OH&S compliance, and keep maintenance records to support a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining school grounds and facilities.
• Ability to coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
• Commitment to OH&S regulations and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operations: site security, lawns, gardens, sporting fields, synthetic turf, play equipment, fences, gates, pathways, drains, watering systems, and waste management.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and hazards to protect staff, students and visitors.
• Action staff maintenance or event setup requests.
• Complete scheduled maintenance during school holidays.
• Oversee contracts with external contractors and building companies.
• Maintain department equipment and records of tasks, inspections and safety logs.
• Comply with OH&S regulations and attend staff meetings for best practices.
• Support Child Safe Policy and other college policies.
